Letting things go!

Image
This year has been a truly eventful one no matter which part of the globe you live.  Things just get so busy and stressful that people so cannot wait until the New Year to reset batteries and charge on again into another busy year.  IT has been a great year to LET THINGS GO!!   For me I have had the busiest year personally ever.  I not only turned 40, I finally got married! I married the man I love and the man who makes me happy and who makes me smile everyday, even when he is being a pain in the arse (as boys do so well). I keep learning about love and relationships and how important it is to just LET THINGS GO, especially the little fecking things that you think are important but in hindsight are NOT.    On turning 40 life isn't about an number but about what YOU DO with your life.  This year I have just allowed myself to be me. To do what I choose and not feel obligated to anything or anyone and it was perfec...

Why do we care what others think?

Image
You always hear people talk (including myself) about being positive, to reduce negative talk and how using positive words can make you feel less anxious, stressed and learn how to be kinder to yourself.  Actions do speak louder than words and sometimes words are just easier to accept.   All about changing patterns and habits.  This is the key to making any changes in your life and moving towards the goals you have set for yourself.  Thinking it is the best way to start, but getting it out in a journal, blog or a to do list will make the words become alive and real.    I have been harsh on myself this week, thinking negatively about myself, my appearance and my body. Thinking that I am not good enough, pretty enough or skinny enough to fit in, seriously?? I am 40 years old and am the happiest I have been in some areas of my life whilst I seem to still struggle with meeting other peoples expectations. WHY? Habit. When things start...

Keeping things simple.......

Image
You can almost feel the tension rise today as people work out it is a month until Christmas. How on earth did Christmas come around so quick I hear people chat in the office and on social media sites.  It is like they are shocked it is here, again, when they know it happens every single year.  People never really seem ready for December.  There is always chat of Christmas present shopping, parties, holidays and the like and for some they get excited, for most it seems like a chore.  Change that attitude and make this next month easier for yourself!! Keep things simple.   Don't over complicate the next few weeks.  Don't try and achieve too much, accept too many party invites (because you know you will be stressed, tired and hung-over).  What is your ideal way to spend the next three weeks?  Work out who you would like to spend time with and then plan some YOU time. Plan some quality sleep time, time to be spent doing the things you love (bea...

Mrs Wigleys Rose to Robbie Williams...........

Image
What seemed to be a quiet weekend turned into one of those busy weekends, well busy on my liver!    Friday night I organised another fabulous wine & cheese tasting event at work, this time South Australia was our region and I frantically ran around (called Kemeny's, ask for Andrew, he is amazing with his knowledge of all things wine) to get appropriate region wine and beer delivered to the office.  My favourite was a Rose crush of mine Mrs Wigley's Grenache Rose - perfect for this time of year (or anytime really). David Jones Food Hall - seriously everyone loves it there (I mean there is food there from all around the world), just a pity that the service is just so slow. Took me 12hrs to find out what cheeses were from South Australia, lucky I had already researched and had a list of products. Needless to say the event went off without a hitch, lots of tasting, drinking and the boys were super happy with Coopers Pale ale. Success. Saturday I had a party for ...

Finally got to climb Mt Fuji!

Image
Last night I conquered the gruelling 1255m up Mt Fuji – 45min from the base ascending up to the 5 th climbing station that has left me still feeling zapped today.   The sun was shining and the sides of the road were covered in snow.   Traffic was light and only a few cars passed us on the ride. Scenic Cycle at Aurora Place is the most amazing little cycle studio.   They have a special on at the moment that you get two rides for $20! Pretty good value for money I say and a great opportunity to try out the studio. The journey is pretty mind blowing and the visual screen making you feel like you are indeed riding outdoors in some amazing part of the world.   A great way to escape I say.   Haven’t done a proper spin/cycle class for a while now as the classes at my gym aren’t as good as the yoga or dance classes and I have been very spoilt with great RPM instructors over the years.   A good friend of mine had been going and her Facebook status ...

Spring is in the air!

Image
September - hello lover! How I love thee warm mornings .... after the last few weeks of rain and lugging around jackets and umbrellas, it was truly lovely to not wear boots and just wear a light cardie to work this fine first day of Spring.    I don't do cold, I hate the cold/wet! It is fine now and then to laze about under a blanket in front of the heater with a glass of red but predominately I love the sun, surf and g&t's!  I love the warmth of the sun and swimming in our gorgeous pools and oceans.   But summer is a little while away yet... so patience must be had!  Besides the summer body is SO far from being revealed (where did my tan go?)!   So many fun things happening this month:-   FMS Photo-a-day (PAD) Challenge If you have been living under a rock you would of missed this fabulous creative challenge that brings so many people together who all take the days word/prompt and capture a picture they feel resonates with ...

I am awesome!

Image
This was my status on Facebook this fine, wet and miserable Monday morning:-   Lately I really have noticed how much more refreshed & focused I am feeling, not because I am not dealing with the stress of everyday life and city living, but because I am choosing to smile everyday,  life is truly a blessing and for enjoying and not worrying about "stuff" so much.  I am just rolling with life and enjoying it every step.  I feel so in control of myself and my body, mind and spirit.  I know that the choices I am making might not work out but I also know that you gotta give life a good shot. I am awesome because of the way I treat not only myself, but others.  I have stopped saying YES to everything to please people, I do what I feel and also try and make time for those important people in my life.   Last week was probably the most stressful week ever this year (aside from a few wedding prep months earlier this year)! I had deadline...
